Geena pushed through the revolving door of the hotel carrying several bags for Jon's birthday , she had it planned down to the T. She smiled with anticipation. She couldn't wait to see his face tonight. She made her way to the elevator and pushed the button to go up to their floor. While waiting for the elevator she glanced back to the lobby only to spot a familiar face she'd prayed never to see again. God no it can't be She muttered to herself as she quickly turned back to the elevator and frantically pushed the button . "C'mon on damn it! "
The elevator doors opened and she dashed inside pressing their floor number before turning her back to the doors. "Don't see me, damn please don't see me". As the doors claned shut she started to pace the elevator. "Hurry up, Oh God I can't believe he's here of all places. How the hell did he find us?"
The doors opened and she dashed out of the elevator and towards her suite. Opening the door she called out to Jon, "Hey babe, we have a problem."
He glanced up from the phone, his brows arching. Well, well, she was carrying a lot of bags. That looked mighty promising for a little birthday delight later. Pressing a finger to his lip to shush her, he went back to talking to the person on the phone. Radio interviews, god he never did like them, but they were a necessity of his business.
His brow arched as she frowned. What the fuck is up with that? He shook his head and returned his attention to the call. Kelly Urich and Kiss FM had always been good about Bon Jovi promotion, he had to give them a cool interview. "JESUS CHRIST!" He spat as Geena crawled into his lap damn near naked suddenly.
At the quizzing from the radio disc jockey he laughed slightly and passed it off. "David just brought in my birthday present."
Geena slid to the floor between his legs, her hand reaching up to undo the zipper of his jeans, a devilish grin on those lips of hers. She knew she shouldn't distract him, but she had to tell him about what she’d seen as soon as possible.
He bit back the groan and went into a description of David's gift that he had opened a bit earlier, his brows furrowing as she started to kiss and lick along his inner thigh. Fuck he couldn't think with her doing that! Taking a deep breath he continued talking, one hand threading into her hair to pull her head back. He gave her a look that promised death and heaven wrapped into one. "Later babe, please," was mouthed without sound.
Geena groaned in frustration and reluctantly pulled back. Trying to talk to Jon was a no go it seemed. She stood then leaned down to kiss his cheek and whisper, "Be back later."
She quickly pulled her top back on and took off out the door to look for Richie. Hopefully he wasn't too busy to listen to her. She trotted down the hallway ready to knock on Bri and Richie's door when she spotted him stepping off the elevator alone. " Good! There you are. Can we talk for a moment before you go in?”
He pulled up short, his gaze raking over her. Shit she was pale and her pretty blue eyes looked wild with worry. "What’s up Darlin’?"
"Over here." She yanked on his arm making sure they were far away from his door. If Bri opened the door even if she saw them she might not overhear what they were talking about. "I saw him! He’s here! God Richie, Jared is here!" She practically shouted the words in her panic.
He felt the growl travel from his belly and leave his throat as she kept rambling. "You sure? There's no fuckin' way. Her goddamned name doesn’t even show up on anything, not even hotel reservations. How do you know it was him?" As she kept prattling, he put his hands on her shoulders to lightly shake her. "Calm down. Fuck, tell me.. Are you sure?"
Geena paused to regain her composure " Of course I am. I know that fucker anywhere. He has, after all, stalked me at work and my home. I should know what he looks like.” She paused and took a deep breath, and glanced up to see the fierce protectiveness and worry shining in Richie’s brown eyes. “Sorry you don't deserve that tone from me."
His mind started clicking as he thought through a few scenarios to handle the situation. He couldn't leave her at the hotel alone. He wouldn't be able to keep her backstage without her thinking something was wrong. Fuck.
"Ok we have to keep this on the quiet." He started towards Jon's room, motioning for her to follow. As he got to the door, he managed a grin as she opened the door, then sighed in relief as Jon hung up the phone.
"Bro, we have a fuckin' problem."
"What' the fuck you too? What the hell is going on?" Jon’s brow furrowed with concern as he glanced at Richie and Geena's faces. Both were coated in worry, and Geena’s almost seemed to have a dash of fear tossed in for good measure.
"You need to up security tonight man, especially around the pit."
"Ok you got it. Can I ask why? "
Richie glanced at Geena a moment then back to Jon. "She saw Jared in the hotel."
'You gotta be fuckin' kiddin' me," Jon practically shouted.
"I saw him in the lobby. I don't think he saw me, but I can’t be entirely sure about that. He’s a wily and observant son of a bitch." Geena started to ramble again.
It became clear then, her sudden need for his attention earlier, and he sighed. "Baby there’s all sorts of ways to yell Fire without setting them with me." He offered her a smile before reaching out to tug her into his chest. "Although I did love the attempt."
He glanced over at Richie. "Let me guess, you aren't going to try to keep her out of the pits tonight. Question is why?"
'Because she will wonder why. Hell she’s not stupid man. I do think we should hold off on the birthday celebration on stage this time. We can say you said no more," Richie suggested.
Geena never let on just how much Jared did scare her. She always put on a brave front for Bri. But right now she was in Jon’s arms, a safe place, and she could allow for it. She closed her eyes as she felt the shakes start, her arms wrapping clingingly around Jon’s to try to stop them.
His hand went up to automatically brush over her hair to soothe her. "Shhhh he won’t get to you or her. Trust me on that baby."
"I hope not I couldn't bare anything happening to Bri," Geena murmured into his shoulder.
He glanced at Richie. "You don't wanna scare her to death is more like it right?"
"Exactly, if he scares her," Richie pointed to the trembling Geena, "just imagine that it would be a million times worse for Bri."
Jon held her closer, his gaze moving to Richie who was staring towards the door, obvious need to find Bri in those clear brown eyes. "Go on man, I'll call the arena. There will be extra men around the pit tonight."
"I'm thinking we do a few more songs in the circle tonight too," Richie called out as he walked out the door.
Jon nodded. Set list he could rearrange. Richie's worry wouldn't be as easy. "You got it man."
As Richie exited the room he turned to Geena and grinned, his aim for the immediate moment to calm his beautiful companion. "Now about that attention getting escapade."
I was wondering when he was going to show up. You just don't screw with rockstars who have lots of money and security. This can't go well...
ReplyDeleteTime to take care of Jared. I do believe Jon will keep the girls safe but not telling Bri about Jared is a bad idea.
